Tomasz Koclega
Tomasz Koclega was born in 1968 in Zawiercie, Poland, and now makes his home in Pyskowice.
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, and in the Department of Graphics in Katowice, receiving his diploma in 1993.
In 1993 he participated in an international artistic workshop “Inner Spaces” in Skoki, studying spatial forms in the studio of Prof. Izabella Gustowska.
From 1996 - 2007 he worked in the Secondary School of Fine Arts in Zabrze, where he taught sculpture classes.
Currently he is working at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, conducting the sculpture class in artistic and design departments, and at the Silesian College of Computer Science in Chorzów teaching graphic design and giving classes in modeling spatial forms.
Koclega has had many public installations and exhibitions of his sculpture in various Silesian cities.
Presentations include "Dream " in Wolnosci Square in Katowice, "Nest" in the garden of Caro Villa in Gliwice, "Balance" in the Main Market in Bytom, “Dream" in Chopin's Park in Gliwice, "Desire", in the courtyard of Sielecki in Sosnowiec, "7 Tears" in Teatralny Square in Zabrze, "Desire" in the Market in Gliwice, and "Above" in Kościuszko Square in Bytom.
Koclega has participated in over 50 collective exhibitions at home and abroad.
