Lynn Singer
Lynn Singer is a Manhattan-based reportage photographer that travels the world in search of powerful images.
Singer has been taking many of her black & white photographs in Greece and in Israel for the past twenty years, and her striking compositions celebrating strong lighting and form have become her trademark.
Singer's subjects include ancient Temple Details, Landscapes and the Faces of Greece.
To date, every public presentation of Lynn Singer's work have been photos of Greece.
Two exhibitions have been sponsored by the Greek government.
She studies the Greek temples in a way another might study the human body.
These images are alive in detail, we are up close and the feeling of history is palpable. History seeps through, and the details reverberate.
All of the artist's photographs are taken with 35mm film cameras and the large scale prints, up to 8 feet wide, are produced by master printer Vincent Tcholakian of Diana Lab in NYC.
